Ramada Resort in Hobart, Tasmania Now Offers Guests a Farm Stay Experience

Ramada Seven Mile Beach in Hobart now has a hobby farm. The 22-hectare property is home to two alpacas, a mother cow and her calf and a brood of chickens. Goats and kids (the baby goat kind) will be arriving in mid-July.

The resort is part of the Club Wyndham South Pacific collection, a timeshare vacation club with close to 60,000 members.

The property has an idyllic feel to it: native hens, echidnas and wallabies graze happily throughout the expansive grounds as holidaymakers are encouraged to roam freely around the lush green property. The hobby farm animals are kept in a spacious and pretty paddocked area, while the chickens are free to range by day and retreat to a henhouse at night.

Construction is also commencing on a fire pit to encourage club members to enjoy starlit nights of country style damper, billy tea, and toasted marshmallows.
