The WA Government has released a Recovery Plan for the state to help drive economic and social recovery across WA and create a pipeline of jobs. The WA Recovery Plan has been developed in consultation with the State Recovery Advisory Group, which includes representatives from business, industry, not-for-profit organisations, UnionsWA, the public sector, local government and the community. The Plan comes with a $5.5 billion investment, creating thousands of local jobs in sectors such as construction, manufacturing, tourism and hospitality, renewable energy, education and training, agriculture and mining and conservation. It includes more than $60 million for maintenance upgrades to State Government facilities as well as a $66 million boost for renewable energy technologies. The Plan includes $2.77 billion in relief and stimulus measures already approved during the COVID-19 pandemic. Full details on the WA Recovery Plan are available here.
